THE COURSE / LABS

Labs and practical classes

Twelve facilitated in-person labs, with equivalent online activities for students who cannot attend.

Your first lab, step by step

  1. Open a week and read its question. It names the skill, available controls, rules and what you will produce. Use the briefing or separate demonstration if the idea is unfamiliar.
  2. Attend the in-person lab. Use its supplied apparatus or paper models with the facilitator. Choose a useful test, record its prediction and result, and complete the stated learning outcome. If you cannot attend, use the online Practice activity for the equivalent model-based task.
  3. Explain and save the attempt afterwards. Then try Skill check and Transfer challenge, choosing the method that fits each condition. Save each phase you want to keep before switching.
  4. Keep your evidence. Export a backup and assemble the short fieldwork record. Your best ten of twelve weekly records count.

The six rows in each two-hour timetable are teaching stages: Briefing, Learn, Practise, Test, Transfer and Debrief. The three playable configurations are Practice, Skill check and Transfer challenge. There is no time limit or hidden objective to unlock.
