THE COURSE / ASSESSMENTS
Put the skill to work.
Individual practice, a paired recovery and a four-role final mission. Every assessment asks you to apply capabilities in a new setting.
In person is preferred. Each assessment publishes a campus task, its learning purpose and the record to produce. An equivalent online mission is available for students unable to attend; both routes use the same deliverables and rubric.
Which task should I do?
- After each lab: keep your individual Weekly Fieldwork record.
- After Weeks 1–4: complete A1, the individual Sealed Workshop trial.
- After Weeks 5–8: work with a partner on A2, Restore the Relay.
- In Weeks 9–12: rehearse and complete Operation Last Light as a team of four.
Open a brief below and follow its participation guidance and task steps. Each tells you what to do in person or online, which roles to use, what to export and what to write afterwards. A demonstration shows a different finished example; it is not your assessment attempt.
From workshop to recovery team.
A1 brings observation, recall, spatial reasoning and mechanisms together in the Sealed Workshop. A2 restores a relay through electronics, investigation, permissions and precise communication. The final project integrates the semester at Meridian Station.
The best ten weekly fieldwork records contribute 10%. Assessments reward practical evidence, diagnosis, transfer, coordination and explanation. A game ending alone cannot establish academic achievement.
All due times use Australia/Canberra. Each brief publishes deliverables, marking criteria and performance standards. The website provides local practice and exports; your institution's submission arrangements remain separate.
