Week 2: Second lecture
Week 2 — the first substantive material, and the run-up to the first review
1 March 2027
The complete pre-shot setup, taught in order — the routine every later week’s stroke depends on. See Week 2 for the full session.
Outline#
- Stance — standing behind the cue ball and reading the shot line before entering the stance.
- Shot-line entry — aligning the feet and cueing arm with the shot line.
- Body alignment — lowering into a stable stance with the head and chin aligned to the cue.
- Bridge — a stable, guiding front hand, not a gripping one.
- Relaxed grip — a relaxed hand and wrist, so the cue can move naturally through it.
- The full pre-shot routine, repeated in order, from observing the shot line to warm-up strokes.
