Not sure what to grab? Pick a mood. We keep six shelves stocked --- Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Dance/Electronica, R&B and Alternative --- each with a handful of tracks pulled straight from this week's uploads. Everything here is 128 kbps or better, so it'll sound fine even on the cheap desktop speakers your parents got you.

Pop

Bubblegum hooks, key changes, and choruses built for a school disco. If it was on the radio between classes, it's probably in here.

Rock

Distortion pedals, garage practice sessions, and lyrics about how nobody understands you. Turn the speakers up past what your landlord would consider reasonable.

Hip-Hop

Beats built on borrowed samples and a drum machine somebody's older brother left behind. Bass-heavy, so headphones are recommended if the walls are thin.

Dance / Electronica

Four-on-the-floor kicks and a synth patch that sounds suspiciously like a dial-up handshake. Great for burning onto a mix CD for the car.

R&B

Smooth vocals over a beat that's just slow enough to slow-dance to at a school formal. Best enjoyed with the lights dimmed and a CD burner on standby.

Alternative

Whatever doesn't fit anywhere else on this page. Odd time signatures, quiet-loud-quiet dynamics, and at least one song about a dial tone.
