Idris runs the laboratory-facing half of SLOP3358: the two virtual instruments, the supplied datasets, and the weekly problem sets. Trained in polymer physics before moving into food-materials characterisation, Idris wrote the reference implementations behind the Virtual Rheometer and the Crispness Phase Diagram and is the first point of contact for anything a model gets visibly wrong.
Consultation hours are held immediately after each Tuesday module session, in the same room — no booking needed. Outside of that, email with the module number in the subject line and expect a reply within two working days. Questions about a specific dataset or instrument reading are best asked with a screenshot attached.
Escalation path: for anything about marking of the Laboratory Portfolio or Modelling Problem Sets, ask Idris first; unresolved marking disputes, or anything affecting the whole cohort, go to Marisol.
