Five illustrated planners gather around a gold drafting table and a shared street plan.

People

Who teaches the studio, and who to take a problem to.

The studio is run by a convenor and three tutors, each of whom owns a stretch of the semester, plus a visiting critic from practice who sits on the jury at every assessed pin-up and nowhere else.

Take briefs, marks, extensions and adjustments to the convenor. Take a build that will not behave to the tutor whose weeks you are in. The full routing is on the policies page.

A two-ink portrait in flat gold and black: a cream-toned angular bust with full swept-back hair, rectangular glasses and a notched lapel, the head tipped slightly left and one side of the face in a halftone gold shadow, against a gold panel

Marisol Quaye

Course convenor

Convenes the studio, writes the weekly briefs, takes the Week 11 lecture on what the model cannot show, and chairs the Week 4 and Week 12 juries. Week 9 is chaired by that week's tutor of record.

Idris Fenn

Studio tutor

Studio tutor for the mobility weeks — network design, headways, and the week where everybody meets induced demand.

A two-ink portrait in flat gold and black: a round, cream-toned angular bust with a chin-length bob, round glasses and a high roll-neck, the head tipped to one side and half the face in a halftone gold shadow, against a gold panel

Tobias Wren

Studio tutor

Studio tutor for the budget and public-realm weeks — where the money comes from, and what it buys at street level.

A two-ink portrait in flat gold and black: a cream-toned angular bust with hard cheekbones, hair drawn back into a low bun, a single drop earring and a buttoned band collar, the shadow cutting diagonally across the face, against a gold panel

Sunniva Marek
