After this lesson
- Reconcile a confirmation, an account status and a relevant date.
- Identify which conflicting evidence needs investigation.
A button press is an event
A completion record is evidence about the state afterwards. In our lab, a simulated request can succeed, fail, or remain pending. Your job is to name which one occurred.
The supplied dossier contains a request screenshot, a later status and a receipt. Sort them by time. Write what each establishes on its own before combining them. A status observed yesterday cannot confirm an action attempted today.
Four lines worth keeping
Record what was changed, which subscription it applied to, the effective date, and the document supporting your conclusion. Keep a separate note for anything unresolved.
If a later charge appears, investigate the invoice date, billing period, plan and account. Do not immediately label every later charge as either a mistake or an inevitable final bill. The case materials need to support the explanation.
Practise a handover
Give your record to a partner. They should be able to answer: what is settled, what is still uncertain, and what would you check next?
Revise the record if they need your spoken explanation. This is the evidence section you will use in the final practical.
