WEEK 02 / Find your footing

Who is actually billing me?

Follow a receipt to the organisation that can manage the subscription.

3 August 202645 MIN LECTURE + INDEPENDENT READING

After this lesson

  • Select the billing channel supported by the receipt.
  • Explain the difference between a service name and its billing provider.

The same service can have different doors

Imagine two people watching the same service on identical phones. One paid on the provider’s website; the other used an app-store purchase. Their next step may differ. The icon on the phone is not enough to decide.

In the practice pack, compare R01 and R02. Highlight the named biller, then underline the account alias. Draw a route from the receipt to the relevant official help page. Write down the exact piece of evidence that made you choose that route.

When the account looks empty

An empty subscription list is a question, not proof that nothing is active. Check whether the receipt identifies a different purchasing account or an external provider. Do not keep searching the same screen without revisiting the evidence.

For an unfamiliar merchant label, record the uncertainty and the additional document you need. A bank statement may help identify the charge; it does not necessarily describe the subscription terms.

Your output

Add a manage through column to your inventory. Give every recurring entry a justified route or a clearly stated next question. Swap it with a partner: can they follow your reasoning without asking which app you meant?

Next week you will read what the route’s plan card actually commits you to.
