Week 2 Dailies: The Repeat Test
Dailies for the week's five-roll exercise.
3 March 2027
- Monday lecture: The Loop
- Wednesday Dailies: The Repeat Test
Bring all five rolls, their seed-and-parameter log, and your five pass or fail verdicts against the hands, physics, text, and framing checklist — the verdicts are what gets checked, not just which roll you’d pick. Once the five are up, hand the log to whoever’s sitting next to you: they pick one roll by number and rerun it from the log alone, with no help from the person who wrote it. A log that reproduces its roll passes; a log that needs private tribal knowledge to work — “oh, you also have to change this” — fails, regardless of how good the picked roll looked.
What gets screened#
Five rolls of one prompt, in seed order, with the log open beside them. Nothing is ranked by taste. Each roll is read against the same four checks it was logged against, and the scale is how many of the five clear them.
The rungs, in the order they screen:
- seed 66740 — the reference roll; every other is read as a difference from this one
- seed 66741 — same words, different draw: rain direction and hair drift show it first
- seed 66742 — whether the collar and the amber lights stayed where the still put them
- seed 66743 — the drift roll; identity is the first thing a bad draw loses
- seed 66744 — the one you would keep, and why that is a verdict rather than a preference
The failure shape is a roll that reads well at a glance, loses the face under the checklist, and was logged as a pass because nobody looked twice.
Whichever of the four checks caught your worst roll is the one worth running first from here on.
The rungs above are not a description. The rig recorded them once, and that recording is the scale: replay the five rolls this Dailies is measured against.
