Who teaches the course, and how to reach them.

Vera Lin
Convener
Vera Lin spent eleven years writing for a long-running television soap opera, the last four as its head writer, before leaving broadcast for vertical drama the year the format found an audience larger than her old timeslot. She has never issued a public correction, a retraction, or an apology for a storyline, on the standing position that a season either works or it doesn't, and a statement afterward changes neither. She teaches the anime-to-live-action ramp the way she wrote for daytime television — one episode at a time, on a schedule that does not move for anyone's rewrite.

Dutch Meridian
Tutor
Dutch Meridian directed television commercials for just over thirty years, across every format from fifteen-second spots to the handful of feature-length campaigns nobody was allowed to cut down. Three decades convinced him that only the first three seconds of anything are actually being watched, and he built a career, then a teaching practice, entirely on that conviction. He retired from commercial work the year clients started asking for content instead of advertisements, on the grounds that the job hadn't changed, only the word for it. He watches student dailies with the same stopwatch discipline he once billed by.
