After this lesson

  • Select the direct or partner route from the supplied billing evidence.
  • Describe remaining access separately from future renewal.

Case scope. Netflix Help Center; distinguish direct billing from a payment-partner arrangement and check account-specific exceptions.

Case file: the missing option

A fictional viewer sees no cancellation option where they expected one. Their membership page names a bundle provider. The task is to identify the next responsible organisation, not to keep looking for a hidden button.

Netflix’s help page distinguishes its direct cancellation route from arrangements managed by a payment partner. It also explains that an ordinary paid period can have remaining access after cancellation. Account holds and balances are separate branches in that guide.

Choose the appropriate route

For direct billing, open membership management, choose cancellation and complete the final confirmation. Keep the resulting email and check the access-end information.

If that option is absent, inspect the account’s membership section for the payment partner’s instructions. Follow that provider’s process. Netflix’s guide documents both branches and special account conditions.

Compare the two records

Record A is a direct purchase. Record B is bundled through a fictional provider, Campus Connect. For each, identify the biller, the official guidance to consult and the confirmation you would request.

The fictional provider is not a real service. Its stated terms are supplied in the workshop, so nobody has to create an account or buy a bundle to take part.

Explain it to another person

Write a six-sentence guide for the customer in Record B. Say where to go and why. Avoid promising a date or refund that the evidence does not establish.

Your sourced field guide is due this week. Its most useful sentence may be the one explaining when the main instructions do not apply.
