Assessment

Every piece of graded work in the course, what it is worth, and when it is due.

One piece a week for being in the room. Then the four sides of the table in order: your own self-review, a manager’s case for a packet you were handed, the meeting where your group fits those cases to a curve, and the review system you design for that team.

Stand-up attendance

One mark per stand-up for being in the room when it starts with what the page asked you to bring. Your best ten of twelve count.

Marked at every stand-up · Weight: 10%

The self-review

Two pages about the same ordinary quarter: the self-review a manager could carry into calibration, and the honest version.

Due 2 April 2027 · Weight: 15%

The manager's case

One engineer's packet, drawn by lottery in week 8: the case you would argue for them in the room, and what in the packet you do not believe.

Due 7 May 2027 · Weight: 20%

Calibration

Your group's calibration meeting on the Assessment 2 packets, and the one page afterwards that explains the result using only what the room did.

Due 20 May 2027 · Weight: 15%

Design an ungameable review

Design a performance review system for the team whose packets you argued from. The rest of your group gets a week to beat it. Your mark depends on what it survives, what it does about the rater, and whether you named who pays.

Due 28 May 2027 · Weight: 40%
