Week 9 Case Review: Contract drafting
Naming which of the four contract types each case is actually operating under, versus which one each party might assume it is
19 April 2027
Before the session#
For your case, name the contract type each party’s behaviour implies — separately for each party, not as a single shared answer.
In the session#
Groups look for the mismatch case: two parties behaving under different contract types without having said so. When there’s no mismatch, the group instead checks whether the named contract type actually matches the dependency and specificity levels measured back in weeks 4 and 5.
Afterwards#
This is the last case-review skill before the case study portfolio is due — bring your contract-type findings across every case you’re including in the portfolio, not just your primary one.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you can name the contract type (Date, Exclusive, Official, Investment) each party in your case appears to believe is in force
- you can point to the specific evidence for a mismatch, if one exists
