Applies financial and game-theoretic models to romantic relationships: attraction as price discovery, dependency as a balance sheet, and commitment as a priced option, for students who trust models more than feelings.
What you will do
Each week you carry one running case — yours, a friend's, or a plausible composite — through a case review, applying one new model variable at a time: price discovery, dependency, commitment, monitoring, risk. You leave the course with a position paper, a case study portfolio, and a final audit that reads a relationship the way an analyst reads a position, end to end.
Who it is for
Students who find "just be yourself" unhelpfully vague and would rather have a variable to check. No background in finance or game theory is assumed; every model term is introduced from scratch, one per week, and used nowhere before it's defined.
