- Ask during case review, or email when a question cannot wait until the next one.
Idris spent four years on a systematic trading desk before retraining as a teaching fellow, and it shows: he is the one who will ask what your stop-loss condition actually was, and whether you honoured it. He runs the case reviews, marks the position papers and the case study portfolio, and holds the line on terminology — “attachment” is not “dependency,” and the mark scheme cares about the difference.
Office hours are for disputing a mark or working through a case that doesn’t fit the model cleanly. They are not for asking what the model says about your specific situation; that question belongs in the case review, where the room can practise applying it together.
