Legacy
The closing fortnight — no fieldwork left, just the account of the whole semester, presented at the Hallway Finale in week 12
Crossing 6 · Due: 30 October 2026 · Weight: 40%
There’s no hallway work in the last two weeks. Crossing 6 is Legacy — the one built entirely out of the other five. What you leave behind isn’t a new conversation or a new stall, it’s an account of the whole semester: every bet you made, what came back, and the five clips that prove it happened.
The brief#
Walk the room through your semester, then play the video that backs it up.
The fortnight runs in two halves. Week 11 is the Discussion Lab — no stage, no clock, just talking your account through with peers while there’s still time to change it. Week 12 is the Hallway Finale, where you present it and then sit in the room for everyone else’s.
The presentation covers all five Crossings — Starting a Conversation through Building With Others — not a highlight reel of the ones that went well. If something fell flat, that’s part of the account, not something to leave out.
What you present#
A short presentation, in person, covering the five Crossings and what each one bought you, ending with your five-clip video played in full. No written report is due separately — the presentation and the video are the submission. Missing the Finale itself is covered by Policies — there’s no presenting it late.
The spec
The brief poses the problem and leaves room for a response. The spec is the fixed part: what a marker checks. Some lines can be checked mechanically; the rest call for judgement.
- presented at the Hallway Finale, in week 12
- it walks through all five Crossings, not just the ones that went well
- the five-clip video plays and matches what's being claimed about each Crossing
- it names, honestly, what the semester's investment bought overall
How it is marked
Judged as a single presentation against the whole semester it's summarising — whether it's honest about which of the five Crossings actually worked, whether the five-clip video backs up what's being claimed, and whether a viewer who missed the semester could follow it.
