Your first visit

Thinking of coming along? You have two easy places to start. Choose the one that sounds more like you, then check the official details before heading out.

  1. CAS meeting

    Start indoors

Want an easy, low-pressure introduction? A regular CAS meeting brings people together for a talk and a chat. You can come along before deciding whether membership is for you.

Dates, times and rooms can change, so take a quick look at the current calendar before you leave.

  2. ANU–CAS public astronomy night

    Start under the sky

If you'd rather begin under the night sky, CAS and ANU run public evenings at Mount Stromlo that are open to everyone. There is usually a short talk and telescope viewing; if cloud gets in the way, the talk generally still goes ahead.

These nights are seasonal and weather-dependent. Confirm the upcoming date and visitor information before you travel.
