Policies and support

Late work and extensions

Work handed in after its due date is subject to a late penalty unless an extension has been agreed in advance. If something genuinely gets in the way — illness, an unexpected commitment, a technical failure outside your control — contact the convenor before the deadline, not after it. Extensions are considered case by case; the earlier you ask, the more options there are.

Academic integrity

The direction is yours: the notes you give, the takes you select, and the judgement calls behind both. Generated material is a legitimate part of every week’s process, not something to hide — but presenting someone else’s direction, or another student’s selected takes, as your own is a breach of academic integrity in the same way it would be for any other piece of coursework. If you’re ever unsure whether a particular use crosses a line, ask before submitting.

Getting help

Questions about a specific week’s exercise are best asked during that week’s workshop, while the context is fresh. Anything that can’t wait — a question about the course itself, an assessment, or a personal circumstance — should go to the convenor by email. See People for who’s teaching and how to reach them.
