Pulsar Signal Study
Analyse one periodic radio signal and defend the transformations used to make its timing audible.

The brief#
Make the regularity of one pulsar inspectable without quietly turning the
signal into a musical beat.
Analyse the timing, produce two contrasting renderings and explain what folding,
filtering and time compression change. You are marked on the argument carried
by the pair, not on production polish.
What you submit#
A web page or PDF study, two playable audio files, the processed data table and
a methods file sufficient for another student to reproduce the mapping.
The spec
The brief poses the problem and leaves room for a response. The spec is the fixed part: what a marker checks. Some lines can be checked mechanically; the rest call for judgement.
- the selected pulsar, catalogue record, period and data source are identified
- raw-timing and folded-profile renderings are included and clearly distinguished
- a 900–1200 word study explains processing, mapping and limitations
