Lectures

One shared lecture a week, every stream in the same theatre, for twelve weeks.

Lectures are shared: whatever stream you tutorial in, you hear the same hour. Week 6 is the only one that ships as a deck, and week 10 is not a lecture at all but three practitioners in fifteen-minute relay.

Week 01 · 22 February 2027

The Room Already Knows

Everyone in the room is already performing a professional identity, including the staff. The course's one rule is the difference between framing what is true and claiming what is not.

Week 02 · 1 March 2027

Reqspeak: A Field Guide to the Dialect of the Job Ad

A job advertisement is four documents stapled together, and only one of them describes the work. Learning to read the fourth is the whole lecture.

Week 03 · 8 March 2027

The Shape of the Distance

Gaps are not sizes, they are shapes. The three tiers, and why the specific version of a gap earns more respect than the vague one.

Week 04 · 15 March 2027

Receipts

The ninety-second verification, and what survives it. Converting activity into artefacts a stranger can check without you in the room.

Week 05 · 22 March 2027

The Load-Bearing Anecdote

Three prepared stories beat twelve improvised ones, and preparing is not dishonest. Structure, and the two failure modes that sink an anecdote.

Week 06 · 29 March 2027

Varnish, and How Much Is Too Much

Nobody assesses your work; they assess your work as presented. Where finish makes real work legible, and where it starts concealing thinness.

Week 07 · 12 April 2027

The Pre-Warmed Stranger

Outreach that is not cold: research a specific person, find a real reason, write something answerable in one line, and survive the silence.

Week 08 · 19 April 2027

The Plausibility Budget

How much unevidenced claim a document can carry before it collapses, and how to spot the same collapse in somebody else's.

Week 09 · 26 April 2027

Interview Weather

Interview mechanics, and the explicit separation of what you control from the weather you do not.

Week 10 · 3 May 2027

What They Wish You'd Asked

A guest relay: three practitioners, one per field, fifteen minutes each, on what candidates never think to ask and what it costs them.

Week 11 · 10 May 2027

Competence Lag

The first ninety days: asking for help without forfeiting credibility, learning in public, and setting a ramp you can actually hold.

Week 12 · 17 May 2027

Seamwork

The closing audit, delivered by the convenor as an audit of her own performance first: what was performed, what became true, and what to do about the difference.
