Short-form media rewards a clear point of view. This lecture introduces the course workflow: observe a change, plan what the viewer needs, record deliberately, then edit for clarity.

Outline

We will define a visual story, compare wide, medium and close shots, and consider how light and sound guide attention. The session closes with a paired field exercise: record six shots of an ordinary routine changing.

Bring a phone or camera that records video. Headphones are useful but not required.
