Week 12 Studio: Assembly and handoff
Assembling scenario text, clue map, NPC sheets and handouts into a packet a stranger could run cold.
10 May 2027
Everything built over the last eleven weeks — truth, structure, scenes, clues, puzzles, checks, NPCs, and now playtest revisions — has to come together into something another Keeper could pick up and actually run. This studio is the final assembly pass, tested the only way that matters: by handing it to someone else.
Before the session#
Bring your revised draft, incorporating whatever the playtest surfaced — this session assumes week 11 already changed something.
In the session#
Swap your assembled packet with a partner. They pick any scene and try to answer, using only what’s on the page, “what happens here and what would I need to run it?” Wherever they get stuck or have to guess, that’s a gap between what’s in your head and what’s actually written down.
Afterwards#
Close those gaps before submitting the Final Scenario. A scenario only you can run isn’t finished — it’s still notes.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- your packet answers "what happens in this scene" for any scene, without you present to explain it
- your clue map, NPC sheets and handouts live in one place, not scattered across formats
