Scenario Pitch
A one-to-two page pitch stating your premise, antagonist, truth, and the horror and player experience you intend.
Due: 12 March 2027 · Weight: 15%
The brief#
State your premise, your antagonist, and the causal chain — goal, past action, next step, consequence if unopposed — that your scenario hangs on.
This is the studio work from weeks 1–3 written up formally: the raw idea, the Mythos flavour it leans on, the specific entity or faction fused into it, and the truth stated as cause and effect rather than atmosphere. Add a short closing note on the kind of horror and player experience you’re aiming for — cosmic dread, creeping wrongness, body horror, paranoia — so your marker knows what you’re steering toward before structure gets decided in week 4.
What you submit#
One to two pages: premise paragraph, named antagonist, truth as a four-step chain, and the horror/player-experience note. No scenes, clues, or NPCs yet — those come later and this pitch is what they get built on.
The spec
The brief poses the problem and leaves room for a response. The spec is the fixed part: what a marker checks. Some lines can be checked mechanically; the rest call for judgement.
- a stranger could read your pitch and repeat back what the antagonist wants
- the antagonist is a named entity or faction, not "the Mythos" in general
- you say, in a sentence or two, what kind of horror and player experience you're aiming for
How it is marked
