The course-wide rules for late work, extensions, academic integrity and getting help.

Policies and support

Late work

Work submitted after its deadline loses 5% of the available mark per day, to a maximum of five days, after which it is not accepted. This applies equally to the dérive report and the counter-mapping project; there is no separate allowance for fieldwork running long.

Extensions

Extensions are arranged before the deadline, not after it. Email the convenor with what’s already done and what’s left — a request made once the deadline has passed is treated as a late submission, not an extension.

Academic integrity

Cite every theorist you name, and every store you describe truthfully: an invented supermarket is a legitimate choice, a real one misdescribed to fit the argument is not. Any assistance you used in producing the work — including this course’s own agentic tools — is declared in the submission, not hidden by it.

Getting help

Ask in the session first; most questions are more useful answered where the rest of the class can hear them. Outside sessions, email whichever of Marisol or Idris fits the question — course-level to the convenor, work-in-progress to the tutor.
