Week 6, then the break, and what to do in it

The mid-semester break sits between week 6 and week 7. Your queue does not take a break and neither should your counts.

Week 6 is the last teaching week before the break. Week 7 resumes on 19 April.

Two things before you disappear.

Keep counting. You do not need a full session, and two twenty minute visits across the break are worth more than the three weeks of nothing most people hand in. If your site is a campus queue that closes, say so in the journal and pick a second site for the gap.

Bring your raw sheets back. Not the spreadsheet, the paper. Week 7 opens with you swapping sheets with somebody else and finding what they recorded that you did not.

  1. Adding the practical version. Three weeks off means three weeks of your site behaving differently, and that is data rather than a gap. Term time and out of term at the same counter is the easiest comparison anybody in this course gets handed for free.
