Does the journal want prose or a table

The brief says record each visit. It does not say whether that is a paragraph, a table or both, and I have written it three ways.

Three attempts at week 4.

Version one is a table with time, count, service time and a notes column. Version two is four paragraphs about what happened. Version three is the table with the paragraphs underneath and it is twice as long as the word limit.

What does the marking actually want here?

  1. Marked as the answer

A table for what you counted and a paragraph for what you noticed. The table is the evidence and the paragraph is the thinking, and the marking criteria are looking for both. A journal that is all table scores badly because nothing in it is yours. A journal that is all paragraph scores worse, because there is nothing to check.

  2. That is clearer than the brief. Can it go in the brief?

  3. Fair. It is in the brief now.
