This course is supported by three roles with deliberately different responsibilities. Use the course forum for questions whose answers would help the cohort; use individual email only for access problems, submission-specific details, or personal circumstances.

Dr Yiwei Easton
Course Convenor and Lecturer
Yiwei teaches language-model training at the intersection of machine learning, empirical evaluation, and resource-aware systems.

Maya Rao
Teaching Fellow and Technical Tutor
Maya runs the practical labs and model clinics, with a focus on PyTorch, dataset pipelines, training diagnostics, checkpoint loading, and reproducible evaluation.

Eli Morgan
Compute Steward
Eli protects the fairness and operability of the constrained-training environment, from compute accounting to platform incidents.
Availability and respectful contact#
Teaching staff normally reply within two teaching days. Messages sent late on a deadline day may not receive a response before submission. Do not include API keys, access tokens, private repository credentials, complete checkpoints, or personal information in forum posts or email attachments.
