Week 5: Transport and Defence
Cars, tanks, trains and terrain tools, then biters, worms and nests, and the firepower and wall placement that manage them.
24 August 2026
Outline#
- Transport options — car, tank, train and spidertron against the baseline of walking, each with its own speed and cargo trade-offs.
- Obstacle removal — cliff explosives and landfill as deliberate terrain costs.
- Biters, worms and nests — how enemy bases grow with pollution and evolution, and why walling off only postpones the problem.
- Turret creep, firepower and kiting — advancing a turret line safely, and using speed to kite biters away from a weak point.
- Other tools — poison capsules and combat robots for situations a straight firepower fight doesn’t suit.
- Walls — where a wall earns its cost, as a chokepoint for turrets rather than a substitute for defence.
