Week 7 Case Review: The commitment memo
Writing down which of the three stalled-gate diagnoses fits your case, and what evidence supports it
5 April 2027
Before the session#
Draft one paragraph naming which of the three diagnoses fits your case and what evidence rules out the other two.
In the session#
Pairs stress-test each other’s memo: the reader’s job is to find the reading of the same evidence that would support a different diagnosis. If they can’t, the memo holds. If they can, the case needs more evidence, not a firmer opinion.
Afterwards#
Keep the memo. Week 8’s case studies draw directly on gates that were misdiagnosed this way, so a clean memo now saves rework later.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you can state which of the three stalled-gate diagnoses (pricing delay, pricing mismatch, unilateral de facto exercise) fits your case
- you can name the specific evidence that rules out the other two
