Week 4 Case Review: Balance sheet workshop
Pricing your case's dependency across all five line items separately, instead of as one number called "how attached I am"
15 March 2027
Before the session#
Score your case low/medium/high on time, emotional disclosure, social integration, logistical entanglement, and identity dependency — five scores, not one.
In the session#
Groups compare scoresheets and look for the case where one line item is wildly out of step with the other four. That mismatch is usually the most interesting thing about the case, and the thing the case owner had not separately named before this week.
Afterwards#
Keep all five scores in your running notes. The position paper due in week 5 asks for exactly this breakdown, so this workshop is most of that assignment’s first section already done.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you can score your case low/medium/high on each of the five dependency line items independently
- you can name which line item, if withdrawn tomorrow, would cost the most to rebuild
