Week 2 Case Review: First price check
Applying the front-end/back-end split to last week's cases — what did the first signal actually price?
1 March 2027
Before the session#
Bring your week 1 paragraph and the front-end signal in it — the profile, the opener, the first meeting, whatever counted as the initial price discovery.
In the session#
Pairs trade cases: each person tries to find the piece of information their partner’s case is quietly assuming the front-end signal proved. This is where “they seemed really into it” usually gets downgraded to “they were good at seeming into it,” which is not an insult, just a variable correction.
Afterwards#
Update your case paragraph with the corrected read. If the correction changes what you think the situation actually is, say so — that revision is itself evidence the model does something.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you can name the front-end signal in your case from week 1
- you can state one piece of information that signal did not actually carry, however strongly it felt like it did
