Find a Partner in the Hall

Crossing 5's fieldwork — find a partner in the hallway on the spot and build something together, not apart

So far a stranger has been someone you talked to, traded with, or asked for something — and in Crossing 3, someone who walked up to a stall your team had built. This one asks you to build something with one: together, in the moment, with whatever’s around, and without dividing the work so each of you just does your own half.

The brief

Find a partner in the hallway, spontaneously, and build something together on the spot.

No brief for the thing itself — Lego from a common room shelf, a three-line song hummed into a phone, a cardboard fort if that’s what’s lying around. The only rule is how it’s made: found that week, not a friend you’d already lined up, and built as one thing with two sets of hands in it, not your half plus theirs stapled together afterward.

What you carry into next week

The thing you made, whatever shape it took, and at least one decision in it that came from your partner, not you. What We Made is where you both — or you, reporting for both — tell the room what happened. Film the thing you made — the last of your five for Legacy, and the one that closes the set. Your partner goes in it only on the terms Policies sets out.

The spec

What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
