Week 6 Audit: The apprenticeship argument
The last audit before the break --- a task worth automating and worth keeping, for two different reasons, at once
29 March 2027
Discovery review is a genuine efficiency case and a genuine training-ground case at the same time, and this week’s notice is the first to hold both without resolving them into a single verdict. That’s the harder audit skill: not picking a side, but stating clearly what’s true on each one.
Before the session#
Bring your own one-sentence version of why a task can be worth automating and worth keeping, for different reasons, without contradiction.
In the session#
We work through this week’s notice against the spec above, then spend the
second half planning: File Your Own Notice is due the Monday after the
break, and this session is the last structured audit practice before you
write one unsupervised.
Afterwards#
Bring an industry idea for your own notice to next session, even a rough one — the break is a good time to notice a pitch you’ve heard in the wild.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you can restate the apprenticeship argument in one sentence without using the word "apprenticeship"
- you can say what evidence, five years from now, would confirm or refute this week's economic breaking-changes claim
