What is covered, week by week, and which topics each lecture draws on.
Lectures#
Four lectures cover the big turns in the course. Lecture 1 opens the SEE stage with five meanings of “price”. Lecture 2 joins Weeks 2 and 3, because unit price and discount claims are two versions of the same question: what is this number being compared to? Lecture 3 starts the CALCULATE stage by treating coupon rules as small if-this-then-that rules. Lecture 4 starts the DECIDE stage by asking when waiting for a lower price is worth the risk. Each lecture has a full slide deck; the other weeks are taught through their session pages and interactive tools.
Lecture 1 — What Is a Price?
The opening lecture. Five things "price" can mean for the same object, the Week 1 comparison trick, and the $249 headphones this semester keeps returning to.

Lecture 2 — Unit Price and What a Discount Means
Covers Weeks 2 and 3 together — unit price and usable quantity, then where a reference price comes from and what a discount is actually measuring.
Week 2 · 3 August 2026
Lecture 3 — Coupons Are Algorithms
Thresholds, exclusions, stacking and bundles as rules with clear inputs — worked through live on three carts, one of them a trap.
Week 4 · 17 August 2026
Lecture 4 — Should You Wait?
Waiting for a better price is a bet you can calculate roughly. This lecture works the calculation live on the $249 headphones.
