Four routes through the most sacred spaces once occupied by Inca royalty — the Temple of the Sun, the Inca's House, the Temple of the Condor — generally low effort. Effort only rises if you also climb toward Huayna Picchu, Huchuy Picchu, or the Great Cavern.
Huayna Picchu Mountain Route3-A
Passes the Temple of the Sun, the Inca's House, the Ceremonial Fountains, and the Three Doorways sector, before climbing Huayna Picchu mountain for striking views of the citadel. The return passes the Temple of the Condor.
Royalty Route3-B
The circuit's shortest and most accessible route, through the agricultural terraces, the Temple of the Sun, the Inca's House, the Ceremonial Fountains, the Three Doorways sector, and the Temple of the Condor. One stretch is accessible for wheelchair users or visitors needing assistance.
Great Cavern Route3-C
Follows the same start through the Temple of the Sun, the Inca's House, the Ceremonial Fountains, and Three Doorways, then continues to the Great Cavern before returning past the Temple of the Condor. Available in high season only.
Huchuy Picchu Route3-D
From the agricultural terraces and the same central sacred spaces, climbs to the summit of Huchuy Picchu mountain for panoramic views of the citadel and its surroundings. Available in high season only.
