You Are Here Canberra, since 2010 About

Find a space

You Are Here is piloting a new venue at Level 1, 131 City Walk in the Canberra CBD, running through the end of July 2026.

What's there

Studios

8–10 shared, open-plan studio areas, about 4–5 sqm each — social, sometimes noisy, and not suited to heavy ventilation or toxic-chemical work.

Workshop area

Adjacent to the studios, used for public programs and workshops on select days.

Gig space

A no-alcohol venue used for the gig series and events.

Gallery & lounge

A shared space for exhibitions and informal gathering.

The Kiosk

A street-facing space fronting City Walk.

(Level 2's offices and rooftop, and a separate dance studio in the building, are run by other tenants — not by You Are Here.)

Pricing

A studio area is $66/week and includes 24/7 access, WiFi, a kitchenette, and a sink. Larger areas are available by negotiation. Artists arrange their own Public Liability Insurance.

Accessibility

A lift provides access to Level 1, and there's one accessible bathroom. The lift is small — most wheelchair users won't be able to turn around inside it. Flooring, lighting, and noise vary throughout the building. A small access-resources budget is available on request — email producers@youareherecanberra.com.au.
