Community

Cats on Mats

Canberra Pet Rescue ran Canberra's first-ever "Cats on Mats" (yoga sessions held alongside kittens), starting on 20 January 2017. Led by volunteer yoga instructors, the sessions doubled as socialisation practice for the kittens involved, and have run more than 20 times since, drawing enough interest that events would regularly sell out. Sessions have been paused since COVID, with updates shared via Facebook if and when they resume.

Happy endings

Happily ever after

Canberra Pet Rescue's own Happily Ever After page shares stories and photos from adopters, including bonded pairs of cats adopted together so they could stay with their companion.
