Not-for-profit

A community company, not a business

Canberra REP is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and a registered charity with the ACNC. It's endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient for its cultural activities, which is why donations over $2 are tax deductible. Its entire program — mainstage productions, REP Studio, front of house — runs on volunteers, which is also why volunteering and membership matter to it in a way they wouldn't to a commercial venue: they're the company's workforce and its base of ongoing support, not an add-on.

The venue

Theatre 3

The company performs at Theatre 3, 3 Repertory Lane, Acton — a 188-seat venue with three spaces available for hire: the Main Auditorium, the Foyer & Bar, and the Ryan Room.
