The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

When history's greatest tyrant was erased from the record, the Soviet Union did not hesitate — it moved. Premier Josef Stalin understood before anyone else that a Europe without Hitler was a Europe without a check on Soviet ambition, and the Union's armies were mobilised before Allied intelligence had even confirmed the timeline had changed. Where the Allies plan, the Union acts, and that difference has decided more battles than either side cares to admit.

Doctrine

Soviet military doctrine is built on industrial scale: more tanks, more infantry, more of everything, deployed with a willingness to absorb losses that would break a smaller nation's will to fight. The Heavy Tank is the doctrine made steel — durable, hard-hitting, and cheap enough to build in numbers that overwhelm a more cautious opponent before precision ever gets a chance to matter.

Industry

Soviet factories are built for throughput, not elegance, and it shows in everything from the War Factory's utilitarian design to the blunt reliability of Soviet armour. The Union's other great industrial achievement is Tesla technology — a home-grown answer to Allied precision that trades subtlety for raw destructive potential, deployed through Tesla Troopers and Tesla Tanks alike.

On the field

A Soviet army rewards a commander who commits fully and often. Grenadiers clear fortifications that would stall a more cautious force, Heavy Tank columns punch through open ground faster than Allied doctrine can respond to, and Tesla-equipped units break sieges the rest of the army can't. Soviet forces struggle when forced to fight cleverly rather than forcefully — a Soviet commander outmanoeuvred in restrictive terrain often finds that numbers alone cannot solve every problem.

The Union did not ask history's permission to seize this moment. It simply moved faster than anyone else could react.
