ROUTE #001 :: BRUCE HALL → BLACK MOUNTAIN SUMMIT
MODE: ON FOOT (BOOTS RECOMMENDED) · DURATION: ~55 MIN · GRADE: MODERATE
Straight up the fire trail behind Bruce, no detours. Best attempted before 8am if you want the tower to yourself and the tourists still asleep. Bring water — the vending machine at the top is a myth.

ROUTE #002 :: BURGMANN COLLEGE → LAKE BURLEY GRIFFIN LOOP
MODE: WALK OR JOG · DURATION: ~70 MIN · GRADE: EASY
Down through Kambri, along the lake path past the National Library, loop back via Commonwealth Ave Bridge. Flat the whole way — good for a group that argued about pace for twenty minutes beforehand.

ROUTE #003 :: TOAD HALL → MOUNT AINSLIE LOOKOUT
MODE: ON FOOT · DURATION: ~90 MIN · GRADE: MODERATE
Up via the War Memorial and the summit road walking track. Do this one at golden hour or don't bother — the view of the city grid from the top is the entire point of the trip.

ROUTE #004 :: URSULA HALL → NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIA
MODE: WALK · DURATION: ~35 MIN · GRADE: EASY
Across Acton via the peninsula path. Short enough to do on a whim, long enough to count as "getting out of the room" for the week.

ROUTE #005 :: FENNER HALL → TIDBINBILLA NATURE RESERVE
MODE: SHARED VAN (BOOK OUT A NODE VEHICLE) · DURATION: ~40 MIN DRIVE
Too far to walk, worth the drive. Convoy out via Cotter Rd, convoy back before dark — the roos don't care about your semester deadlines and neither does the road.

ROUTE #006 :: WAMBURUN HALL → AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL BOTANIC GARDENS
MODE: ON FOOT · DURATION: ~20 MIN · GRADE: EASY
Straight up Clunies Ross St and in the visitor entrance — the shortest route logged on this whole network, and the newest. Best before 9am, while the cockatoos are still louder than the tour groups.
