Game Guide

Twelve more entries from the directory, each a short write-up rather than a full page of its own. The four flagship games have their own page, linked from the Home / Directory table; these are the rest of the roster.

Puzzle Games

Blockhead Bonanza

A tower of wobbling blocks, one placed on top of the last. Tap to drop the swinging block dead-centre and the tower holds; miss the middle and the whole stack leans a little further before it goes. How to play: time your drop, don't overcorrect. Top score: blockhead_king, 41 storeys.

Gem Drop Deluxe

Coloured gems fall in pairs down a narrow well; rotate and slot them so three of the same colour touch and clear. The well speeds up every time you clear a row, so the late game is mostly panic. How to play: rotate with the arrow keys, match three or more. Top score: gembot3000, 76,410.

▶ Play

Piped Up

A grid of pipe pieces, each one rotatable, laid over a slow leak working its way in from the left edge. Turn enough pieces before the leak reaches them and the water routes safely off the right side of the board. How to play: click a pipe to rotate it a quarter turn. Top score: plumber_pete, 19 boards cleared.

Skill & Action Games

Rooftop Runner

An endless run across a city skyline, one rooftop at a time. Gaps get wider and ledges get narrower the further the run goes, and a single missed jump ends it. How to play: hold to charge a jump, release to leap the gap. Top score: lilypadleaper, 2.4km.

Archer's Alley

A row of targets at increasing distance, with a wind gauge that never sits still. Line up the shot, account for the drift, and loose the arrow before the gauge swings again. How to play: aim with the mouse, account for wind, click to fire. Top score: xXBlockLordXx, 9 bullseyes running.

▶ Play

Dodge the Dishes

A commercial kitchen mid-collapse: plates, pans and the occasional whole roast fall from every shelf at once. Survive long enough and the chef throws you a towel and calls it a shift. How to play: move left and right, don't stand still. Top score: sav_the_frog, 3 minutes 12 seconds.

Brain & Number Games

Times Table Trainer

A straight sprint through the times tables, one multiplication a second, no equation repeated twice in a row. It's exactly as simple as it sounds, which is the whole appeal. How to play: type the answer, keep the streak alive. Top score: mathzillafan92, 118 in a row.

▶ Play

Prime Time Panic

Numbers scroll past in a single lane; tap only the primes and let everything else go by. Tap a composite by mistake and the lane speeds up as a penalty. How to play: tap primes only, let composites pass. Top score: parkingpro, primes up to 4,001.

▶ Play

Fraction Fighters

Two fighters trade blows sized by fraction: reduce yours to its simplest form fastest and your hit lands harder. Get it wrong and you take the punch instead. How to play: simplify the fraction shown, submit before your opponent. Top score: turbo_parallel, undefeated in 14 bouts.

Driving & Sports Games

Skate Park Legends

A skate park built entirely of rails, ramps and one very optimistic half-pipe. Chain tricks together for a multiplier, but land badly and the combo -- and your balance meter -- both reset. How to play: chain tricks, don't bail the landing. Top score: lilypadleaper, 812-point combo.

▶ Play

Bike Trial Blitz

A dirt-bike obstacle course taken one careful wheelie at a time: lean too far forward on a log crossing and you're over the bars. How to play: balance the throttle against the lean, inch across each obstacle. Top score: parkingpro, course cleared with two stalls.

▶ Play

Curling Club

A curling sheet, a stone, and a very fussy amount of sweeping. Judge the weight of the throw and the curl of the ice to land in the house, then sweep to nudge the last few centimetres. How to play: set the throw weight, steer the curl, sweep on the way in. Top score: mathzillafan92, three stones in the button.
