Email for course-level questions; use the weekly session for feedback on work.

Marisol designed Designing Things People Hate after a decade split between usability consulting and building the exact dark-pattern checkout flows the course now spends twelve weeks taking apart. She wrote the through-line — hate it, explain it, manipulate with it, build it, test it, then defend a version that’s actually better — and teaches every lecture herself so the argument stays in one voice from week 1 to the Worst Design Awards.

Office hours run Tuesdays 2–4pm in the School of Invented Disciplines, no booking needed. Email is for anything that can’t wait until the next session — extension requests, access needs, or a Hate Wall example you’re not sure counts. Questions about a specific piece of feedback go to the tutor who marked it first; if that doesn’t resolve it, escalate to Marisol.
