Week 6 Session: Swing Trading
Building a simulated swing watchlist and one full trade plan against it
Session
29 March 2027
A trade-plan-construction session, combining the chart-reading vocabulary from Week 4 with the risk toolkit from Week 5 into one complete swing plan.
What you’re given
Simulated multi-day price data for a shortlist of instruments, each with a moving average already plotted, plus the annotated-chart skills from Week 4 and the position-sizing method from Week 5.
What you do
Build a small simulated watchlist of at least three instruments, using the moving average as one input among several — not a standalone signal — then pick one and construct a full swing trade plan: entry, invalidation, position size (calculated, not guessed), and exit.
What you produce
A three-instrument watchlist with reasoning, and one complete swing trade plan for the instrument you chose from it.
Why it matters
This plan is a rehearsal for the Strategy Lab, not the submission itself — Week 7 does the same construction at a faster, intraday pace before the assessment asks for both.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- builds a simulated watchlist of at least three instruments using a moving average as one input, not the only one
- produces one full swing trade plan covering entry, invalidation, position size and exit
