Week 9 Listening Lab: Make uncertainty audible
Compare error voices, roughness and explicit gaps on one light curve.
Listening Lab 09
4 October 2027
Leave with
an uncertainty prototype with a recognition result
Before the lab#
Bring the final Sonification Critique and identify one uncertainty its example
handles poorly.
In the lab#
Apply three uncertainty strategies to one curve. Ask listeners to identify the
least certain region and decide which cue interferes least with the primary
pattern.
Leave with#
A prototype, raw table and test note that becomes the uncertainty plan for the
capstone instrument.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.

- the uncertainty channel can be switched off for comparison
