Convenor of SLOP2805, and responsible for the four lectures.

Before Slop she worked on file sync and backup clients, which is where the course comes from. The specific origin is a support ticket: a customer whose backup client had shown Backup complete for three weeks while silently failing to upload anything after the first day. Every component was working as specified. The interface was reporting the state of the scheduler, not the state of the data, and nobody had ever written down which one it was supposed to report.

That is the course. Not a bug, not a bad designer — a completion criterion nobody had been required to state.

She gives all four lectures and shares the studio with Idris in the weeks the calendar lists her on — the ones where the room needs two people rather than one. She takes the view that a course with twelve lectures in it has usually not decided what only a lecture can do.
