The last partnership lab. The report is due Sunday week, and today is when the protocol stops being a draft.
Before the lab#
Bring your revised clauses from week 10.
Run sheet#
Times below run from the 14:05 start; finish at 14:55.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0:00–0:22 | Final round. Review each draft clause against this week’s use: held, revised or dropped, with the reason. Finish at least four clauses with who concedes and how each is checked. Include a mismatch signal; test it aloud once with a fictional misunderstanding. |
| 0:22–0:30 | Separately: write what you conceded, what you understand the other person conceded, and what held. Don’t compare yet. |
| 0:30–0:35 | Compare the two accounts. Note disagreements without forcing one shared account; each report can describe both. |
| 0:35–0:44 | Vocabulary audit. Join another pair. Each person names up to two course terms used outside class, the other person’s role, and what response they actually observed. “None” is a valid result. |
| 0:44–0:50 | Each pair reads one checkable clause to the other pair, who try one counterexample. Use the final two minutes to save the protocol and separate notes. |
Why the accounts might disagree#
Two partners can remember the same concessions differently. If yours do, that isn’t a failed partnership. It’s week 2’s double empathy problem turning up in a document you wrote together. Report both accounts.
What leaves the room#
A finished bilateral protocol, two separate accounts of the negotiation, and a list of the terms that travelled. The Interoperation Report is due Sunday 30 May, 23:59.
