Vocabulary log
The first piece of graded work — the accumulated set of tiny prototypes from weeks 1 to 6, submitted as they're made
Show your working: a small, playable proof for each of the first six primitives, in the order you built them.
This isn’t six polished games — it’s six small proofs, submitted as they’re made rather than assembled at the deadline. The mark isn’t for how much each one does; it’s for whether each one demonstrates exactly its week’s addition to the vocabulary and nothing more.
What you submit#
A folder or repo of six runnable prototypes, one per week, each named for the primitive it demonstrates (press, hold, release, rhythm, sequence, momentum). A one-line note per prototype naming which earlier one it reuses, if any.
The spec
The brief poses the problem and leaves room for a response. The spec is the fixed part: what a marker checks. Some lines can be checked mechanically; the rest call for judgement.
- one prototype per week, for weeks 1 through 6, each runnable in a browser
- each prototype demonstrates that week's primitive without leaning on a later week's mechanic to work
How it is marked
Marked on whether each prototype isolates its week's primitive rather than blurring it with a later one — a working week 6 prototype that secretly reuses week 3's release logic scores lower than a rougher one that keeps the distinction clean. Submitted late in the run counts against you more than submitted rough on time.
