Week 11 Studio: Provenance work time
Dedicated studio time on the final project, with both tutors circulating to check objects against their claimed histories.
7 October 2027
Before the session#
Bring the object itself and whatever provenance material you’ve gathered since week 8.
In the session#
Open bench and desk time, with both tutors circulating: Anselm on the object’s material craft, Petra on whether the accompanying provenance file would actually hold up under the market-and-authentication questions from this week’s lecture. Most projects at this point need more work on one side than the other — the studio’s job is helping you see which.
Afterwards#
The final crit is next week; see the assessment page for what “Provenance” needs to contain by then.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
