Week 12 Session: Capstone Pitch Rehearsal
A last rehearsal of your Economic Intervention Report's pitch, in front of peers, before it's due.
17 May 2027
Before the session#
Have a draft of your intervention argument, even a rough one — naming the real economy, the specific problem, and the mechanism you’re proposing. This session is for stress-testing that draft, not starting it.
In the session#
Short, timed pitches to a small group of peers, followed by fast feedback focused on one question: would a marker who’s read the whole semester’s material find this specific and defensible?
- 5 minutes: format and timing rules — each pitch gets three minutes, timed, covering the real economy, the specific problem, and the proposed intervention
- 40 minutes: pitches and feedback in groups of four
- 10 minutes: whole-room debrief on common gaps
Afterwards#
The Economic Intervention Report is due at the end of this week. This session is your last chance to hear “that’s too vague” from a person instead of from a mark.
The spec
What you bring to the session. Written so a reader can tell whether it has been met without asking you.
- you deliver a timed pitch (under three minutes) covering the real economy, the specific problem, and your proposed intervention
- you receive and can restate at least one piece of peer feedback on the pitch
