Lior builds agent-based models of markets for a living — thousands of simple trading agents, no single one of them smart, whose collective behaviour still manages to reproduce the bubbles and crashes real economies produce. Week 10’s lecture is their one appearance on the roster, walking through how the same technique applies to a game economy with a few thousand real players standing in for the agents.
